 About the Teacher:

My name is Mrs. Lady Stroupe Price. I grew up in the Tippah / Prentiss County area, which is about two hours East of Lake Cormorant.  Both my parents were educators (My mother has retired from teaching High School and my father retired from being a teacher, principal, and Superintendent of Education).  So, I pretty much grew up in the educational system.  I attended Jumpertown Elementary (1st), Walnut Elementary (2nd-6th), Falkner Jr. High (7th-8th), Falkner High (9th-10th), Walnut High (11th) and ended up graduating from Pine Grove High.  After high school graduation, I went to Northeast Mississippi Community College and then on to Blue Mountain College.  I now live in Southaven and I am married to the most terrific guy, Hap Price, III.  After several years of thinking that I would not get the chance to have children, GOD blessed me with not just one, but two.  I am a VERY proud parent of my daughter, Viktoria, and son, Ethan.  I am excited about seeing my children grow and sharing in their lives.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: I attended Northeast Mississippi Community College, where I studied Art Education and Computer Programming.  Then, I transferred on to Blue Mountain College, where I graduated on May 2000 with my Bachelors in Science degree in Elementary Education.  I am certified to teach: Kindergarten through 8th in all general subject areas.  Kindergarten through 12th in Art.  7th through 12th in English, Psychology, and Social Studies.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: This will be my 19th year to teach in DeSoto County.  I have taught at both Horn Lake Elementary and Lake Cormorant Elementary.  While at Horn Lake, I taught first grade for 6 years.  Then, I transferred to Lake Cormorant Elementary when it's doors opened in 2007.  At LCES, I taught first grade for one year, second grade for two years and the rest has been in Kindergarten.  Although I have loved teaching every grade, my heart is in Kindergarten!  GO KINDERGARTEN!
