Subjects Taught
2nd Grade

I attended Northeast Mississippi Community College, where I studied Art Education and Computer Programming.  Then, I transferred on to Blue Mountain College, where I graduated on May 2000 with my Bachelors in Science degree in Elementary Education.

I am certified to teach:

  • Kindergarten through 8th in all general subject areas
  • Kindergarten through 12th in Art
  • 7th through 12th in English, Psychology, and Social Studies.

This will be my 15th year to teach in DeSoto County.  I have taught at both Horn Lake Elementary and Lake Cormorant Elementary.

While at Horn Lake, I taught first grade for 6 years.  Then, I transferred to Lake Cormorant Elementary when it's doors opened in 2007.

At LCES, I taught first grade for one year and then had the opportunity to move to Kindergarten.  This will now be my sixth year to teach one of the most wonderful grades ever!  GO KINDERGARTEN!

My name is Ms. Lady Stroupe Price.  I grew up in Tippah / Prentiss County area, which is about two hours East of Lake Cormorant.  Both my parents were educators (My mother has just retired from teaching High School and my father retired from being a teacher, principal, and Superintendent of Education).  So, I pretty much grew up in the educational system.

I attended Jumpertown Elementary (1st), Walnut Elementary (2nd-6th), Falkner Jr. High (7th-8th), Falkner High (9th-10th), Walnut High (11th) and ended up graduating from Pine Grove High.  After high school graduation, I went to Northeast Mississippi Community College and then on to Blue Mountain College.

After several year of thinking that I would not get the chance to have children, GOD blessed me with not just one, but two.  I am a VERY proud parent of my daughter, Viktoria, and son, Ethan.    I am excited about seeing my children grow and sharing in their lives.
